Havas Group has incorporated its ‘meaningful’ methodology into every facet of the organisation, recognising our role in making the world a better place.
Ever since 2009, we have committed to operating as a responsible business and defined six CSR commitments together with ambitious objectives to guide all our practices and businesses. In 2020, we launched Havas Impact+, a unique CSR brand structuring our six commitments around three key pillars: environment, meaningful communication and people.
Through Havas Impact+, we encourage our agencies to harness the power of creative ideas to bring about positive change in society. Our goal is to encourage our industry to practice responsible communication, raise professional standards and help our clients become a force for good.
We are committed to:
PROMOTING A HARMONIOUS AND HEALTHY WORKING ENVIRONMENT THAT SUPPORTS COLLABORATORS’ GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT
REINFORCING SOCIALLY RESPONSIBLE PROCUREMENT POLICIES IN OUR SUPPLY CHAIN
PROMOTING TRANSPARENCY AND ETHICS IN OUR BUSINESS
TAKING THE LEAD IN THE CREATION AND DIFFUSION OF RESPONSIBLE COMMUNICATIONS THROUGHOUT OUR AGENCIES AND IN COLLABORATIONS WITH CLIENTS AND PARTNERS
REDUCING THE ENVIRONMENTAL FOOTPRINT OF OUR OPERATIONS
MAINTAINING OUR COMMITMENT TO COLLABORATIVE EFFORTS IN REDUCING CLIMATE CHANGE
The Group reaffirms its commitment to respect and implement the ten principles of the Global Compact.
Havas has been awarded the EcoVadis Silver medal in recognition of our 2020 CSR performance.
28% of the Group’s global headcount is operating under a ISO 14001 certified EMS. This certification demonstrates Havas’ commitment to reducing the environmental footprint of its operations and services, as well as to taking concrete action to fight climate change.
During the 2016 edition of Cannes Lions, Havas and the other five major communications agencies decided to join forces and launch the Common Ground initiative. The objective of this project is to contribute to the achievement of the 17 sustainable development goals set by the United Nations. The communications industry is considered a pioneer given this type of unique collaborative approach.
Each group is committed to achieving a particular goal: Dentsu –Health, IPG – Access to Drinking Water, Omnicom – Access to Education, Publicis – Food, WPP – Gender Equality, and Havas – Climate Change.
The Group was named “Most Sustainable Company in the Communications Industry” by World Finance magazine in November 2019.
